We carry out all fascia and soffit repairs. We also offer fascia and soffit upgrades to the new upvc products which are much more beneficial than the older wooden products.

Wooden fascias and soffits need more upkeep and the rain eventually rots the wood. It's also prone to woodworm as any damage occuring through wear and tear or the weather, birds, insects etc. can penetrate the weathered wood enabling them to nest or allow the rain water to enter the roofline and loft which may also cause issues. Regular painting is also necessary to keep the wood in good condition, enabling it to last longer.

Improvements have been made, over the years and most new builds are fitted with the new upvc products. No maintenance is required and they are much more durable than the wooden fascias and soffits.

What are Fascias

Fascia boards are situated at the point where the roof meets the brickwork (outer walls) of the building and can clearly be seen. It is also known as the roofline.

Fascias help protect the roof rafters from being exposed to the weather and prevents water ingress.

Fascias also support the gutters.

We carry out soffit repairs and also upgrade to the new upvc soffits. Soffits are attached to and fit underneath the fascias providing a nice finish and help in the protection against the weather affecting the roofline/rafters.

Vented soffits help the air to circulate and prevent condensation affecting the roofline and rafters.

Older wooden soffits need more attention, so checking the state of the wood and replacing any rotten and damaged soffits is essential in protecting the roofline. 

New upvc soffits have many more advantages and no maintenance so are more cost effective in the long run.
